Learn the essentials of fundraising planning from experts in the field.
A successful nonprofit organization has diversified funding streams. If your organization has never developed a fundraising plan or calendar, this session is for you. It provides an overview of the process of strategically thinking through the components of a fundraising plan. You'll learn how to:
- Conduct an assets inventory
- Develop a case statement
- Identify funding partners
- Prepare a fundraising plan and calendar
The second part of the class will feature a discussion of fundraising strategies with a panel of grantmaking and fundraising experts. Moderated by Bob Cahen, Lakeland Foundation, panelists will offer advice and guidance on:
- Fundraising planning for a small shop;
- How to deal with urgency/emergency;
- Working with the board – best practices;
- How to know when to get help; and
- Trends for 2018.
Panelists will include Brenda Cummins from The Cleveland Foundation, Greg Sanders from Lake Health Foundation and Janus Small from Janus Small Associates. Bring your questions for this lively discussion!
